I have years of knowledge studying dog training starting with my own dogs 20 years ago. I have delved deeper into dog training the last couple of years and now offer professional services. I utilize balanced training based on positive reinforcement techniques and tailor training suited to your unique family. My goal is to make training as fun and productive as possible for your dog and family. Dog training is a time of bonding, learning about your dog, giving structure and how to navigate challenges.
I practice dog training because of my strong love for dogs and all animals. Dog training gives me the opportunity to enrich and improve the lives of dogs and their families. In addition to my dog training studies, I have worked with countless animals of all types my entire life. I started volunteering at the Mendocino Humane Society at 12 years old. My time was spent walking dogs, feeding the animals and doing anything I could to help and be with the dogs and cats. I would foster as many furry friends as my parents would bare and adopt out almost as many as I fostered. My family and I would drive around town with the animals while we ran errands and adopt them out to people in town. In my teen years I worked as a volunteer for Safari West Wild Animal Park here in Sonoma County (the lemurs were my favorites) then later at BrightHaven animal hospice to help animals in their late life stages.
